STATE!
City Tourney
Hey all.
Hope things are going well for ya. :)
Everything's been about average for me here.
My bowling average is about a 164 - 167, going between those rather constantly with how I've been bowling.
Anyway... We have City Tournament soon. The 21-22. There are five teams that signed up for the tournament. FOUR from my alley and ONE from the other in town. (There's another one on base.... but they didn't send any teams). So... Yeah... Other than that, there's nothing really going on.
I'm going to school and all that jazz, but this is finals week, so I need to get off my bum and study.
See ya.
Today Rocked.
Hiiiiii.
So... with the whole 'getting involved with the community' thing, I organized a food drive for the local food bank. Which is cool.
ANYWAY.
Today totally rocked. Not many people showed up for league, it was just me and one other on my team that showed on our pair. Our other two teammates had prebowled. The other that had shown up, Shane, hit above his average all three games. Which is totally awesome, 'cause this is his second year bolwing and he's doing really well for someone who pretty much just started. My scores were awesome, too. 251 (highest sanctioned....), 159 (average...), and 192. For my highest series and first 6: 602.
Oh yeah.
Today rocked.
Can't Go At It Alone.
Alright... So...
Yeah... I've been bowling alright, I guess. Minus today. But I've been staying at a 160-ish average.
In my last post, I think it was, I was saying how I was going to start this committee thing, right? Well, so much for that. I asked for help with the Halloween Party, and got none, 'cept for from Mickey.
Now, I've arranged something (with mum's help) to benefit the Food Bank in our area. A food drive for the leagues. And not just my league. ALL the leagues in the alley. I have times and everything for every league. Still, no one in my league is willing to help. It really makes me sad... No one's willing to help. Even if it's something that benefits them (ex: The Halloween Party). At least with the party, I had people SAY they were going to help. This time, I NEED it. I can't go to the evening leagues 'cause I'm in CLASS. I explained this to them, and they were all 'yeah, whatever'.
I really need their help, and they don't seem to understand that.
I don't know what to do anymore...
Any advice?
Changes
Again, I've realized that I haven't been posting much... or... well... any.
My bowling scores are getting up there. Friday in practise I shot a 265 game. I'm sad that it wasn't in league or anything, but I'm so glad I did it no matter what. XD. Nine strikes in a row. That felt AMAZING.
My average is at about 160, which is higher than I ended last season with. Things are looking up.
I took up an idea with the guy that runs our youth leagues and now I'm spearheading a party/event committee for our Jr/Mjr/Sr league. I was really surprised at how many kids said they'd help me and work with me on this. Some of them didn't even strike me as the kind that would want to do something like this, but they did, and that makes me so happy. We're not only going to work in and around the bowling alley. We're going to get involved in the community as well. This Saturday is our first meeting, and hopefully, I'll have some good news to report after that.
Well, I do believe that is all for now.
Byebye~!
