So... Today started off iffy.
Went home from school sick today. Not fun. But... school was on lockdown and I wasn't allowed to go to my locker to get my stuff before going home. That sucked. So, I go home and go to sleep. Wake up a few hours later feeling so much better. Mum wakes me up asking if I feel better and can go practise 'cause the team needs me. (There are only five of us. And in Baker's format... It's not good if one person out of five doesn't show.) Then she tells me the band concert schedualed for the night was canceled. YAY! One less thing I have to do. XD
I eat and go to practise.
We made state last week. Big Blog on that. Now... something that's ALSO really cool:
We had practise today, and I ALMOST beat the best bowler on our team. (School team, that is.) She had be by four pins. I had been using my Hammer for the fist time since I sprained my wrist. I still wore the brace, so it was all good. So there was a bit of happiness there.
Then...
Tonight, I was pre-bowling for league. Nothing special, I thought. Then things changed. I had a 136. About 20 pins down from my average. Not too terribly bad. Next was a 158. Two pins over my average. I went to my mum, who was bowling league, and said, "Mum! Look! I bowled over my average!" That was cool just because I hadn't done it in so long. It felt good... even if was just two pins. Then something AMAZING happened. I had a 212 game. Oh yeah. That was awesome in my book. Series? 506. My highest in like... MONTHS.
Day ended in a good note for me.
I'll post again after State. You can count on that.

EISENHOWER GIRLS ---- REGIONAL CHAMPIONS!!!!
Tell me... how awesome is that? We kicked so much butt today! I mean... we got seeded first, we beat our other oponents.... details in a minute... OMG!!!! I'm going to post a picture of the medals we got, too.
Our team shirts finally came in, too. That was a good thing.
So...
First squad was against the Anadarko team. We lost one, making us first seed. That was eight games Baker's format. The final games after being seeded were the best, three out of five. Our first game was against Lawton High Girls. They only have four people on the team, so... It was fun to bowl them, but... again, we kicked butt. Then came our REAL challenge. Supposedly, that is. MacArthur Girls. They were talking all big and whatever... but they seemed to have forgotten something.... IKE (Eishenhower) Girls had taken regionals for two years before this one. First game against them was too close for comfort. We won, though. Took second game, too. Then, they came back with an AMAZING 202 game. But, to beat us, they needed two more wins. We only needed one. And that came next game.
It was seriously great.
And in the games against Lawton High, we had our highest game ever... a really nice 234.
I got bowl at Witchita State U. The coaches didn't watch me, though... They had gone to Indiana, I think it was. Of course, we didn't know they wouldn't be able to meet with me until yesterday... That part of it sucked, but... I still got to bowl.
Yes. Even with a sprained wrist, I'm bowling. I wear my brace and stop if it hurts too much. Heh.
So yeah... WSU campus is BEAUTIFUL. Even my mum was impressed. I didn't get to meet with the bowling coaches, like I said, and I didn't get to meet with the people from the Forensic department. Those two kind of killed me... then I went bowling.
I had a 181 game. That was AMAZING. My highest game in FOREVER, and it didn't count for anything but for myself. I mean, I don't know if I'd be able to do that if somone (like a coach) was watching. It was pretty awesome.
So. This is odd. I'm typing with one hand. Why? 'cause todsy while practising my wrist popped. I shouldn't have tried to bowl that fourth game... But for once, I was doing WELL with my new ball. I had a 165, 168 (beat my mum that game!), and a 188. I was doing well... I mention to mum that my wrist is hurting. I should have stopped. But.... I didn't.... 9th frame... I'm frustrated 'cause I wasn't doing well... oil was carrying and I couldn't adjust to it.... I throw my first ball and it almost takes me down the lane with it. Part of the problem was that he ball was drilled too small for me. So, the ball sticks on my hand and pops my wrist. It had me in tears. I can hardly move it now.... Tomorrow I have bowling practise and then again Wednesday and Saturday.... I might even throw a few when we go to Witichta State U this week. THIS WAS NOT A GOOD WEEK FOR THIS TO HAPPEN!
My new ball (Hammer Doom) came in yesterday. I'm really kinda worried about this one cracking, too, seeing as how he drilled it like he did with the other. (He said that the reason it cracked was probably because he drilled it too close to the pin.) So... Yeah.... I got that all taken care of.
Today, I actually got to throw a couple of games. Well. Two. Scores weren't high, but consistent, which is good when adjusting to a new ball, I think. The consistency part, at least. Scores come later.
All in all, I like it. I just have to adjust to it.
Mum was driving me crazy, 'cause she looks down when she bowls, and I look out. She says hit twelve, I hit twelve at the arrows. She hits twelve as soon as it goes out of her hand. So... there was complication there....
I'm not even going to bother to post my scores from league. Yes. They were that bad. Ah well. Monkies happen.
